1. RULES OF ENTRY
MARIBOR SALON 2012, is the salon is conformed with the rules of the Photographic Association of Slovenia (FZS), International Federation of Photographic Art (FIAP) and Photographic Society of America (PSA). Salon is open for amateur and professional photographers from all over the world. The submission of works is confirmed by participants in the contest to be familiar with all conditions of the contest. By virtue of submitting an entry, the entrant certifies the work as his own. The photographers are responsible for the legal contents of the photos.
Dimensions 2400 pixels (longer side of the photograph) in 300 dpi JPG compression 8-10.
The maximum total size of the photo must not exceed 2 megabytes.
Entries must originate as photos (image captures of objects via light sensitivity) made by the entrant acquired digitally. By virtue of submitting an entry, the entrant certifies the work as his own and permits the organizer to reproduce all or part of the entered material free of charge for publication and/or display in media related to the exhibition. This may include also low resolution posting on a websites. The exhibition assumes no liability for any misuse of copyright.
Definition of the black and white photography (monochrome) – FIAP :
This definition supersedes the document 223 and INFO 1991/12.
A black and white work fitting from the very dark grey (black) to the very clear grey (white) is a monochrome work with the various shades of grey.
A black and white work toned entirely in a single colour will remain a monochrome work able to stand in the black and white category; such a work can be reproduced in black and white in the catalogue of a salon under FIAP Patronage.
On the other hand a black and white work modified by a partial toning or by the addition of one colour becomes a colour work (polychrome) to stand in the colour category; such a work requires colour reproduction in the catalogue of a salon under FIAP Patronage.

C: digital GENERAL OPEN /monochrome/ FZS, FIAP , PSA CPID
D: digital WATER /monochrome or color/ FZS, FIAP , PSA EID
3. MARKING AND NUMBER OF WORK
Maximum number of works is four (4) photos per theme. Each file name must include authors surname, name, category with number and title of work Example: (surname_name_A1_title) Titles must NOT exceed 25 characters!

*The one who has achieved the highest number of total acceptances of all the sections of the salon added together.
8. CALENDAR

9. RETURNING WORKS AND RESULTS
We will not return digital works. Digital work will be archived by organizer for one year then will be destroyed. Results of competition will be presented on website: www.fotoklubmb.si most lately by September 8, 2011. Each participant will get his own results on email. The organizer will take maximal care regarding the entries but cannot accept responsibility for damage or lost either during the exhibitions or in transit.
10. PUBLIC PRESENTATION
Awarded and accepted works will be presented on public show in Maribor on October 6, 2012. Awarded and accepted works will be presented on website FKMB www.fotoklubmb.si.
Awarded works will be presented also on website DLF www.ljubitelji-fotografije.si and PDM www.pdmb.net
11. CATALOG
The organizer will present a printed catalogue at time of an award ceremony. Each author taking part in the exhibition and pay entry fee will receive high quality printed catalog.
